FAQs

YOU GOT QUESTIONS. WE GOT ANSWERS

The recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) of magnesium for adults 19-51+ years old is 400-420mg daily for men and 310-320mg daily for women, but research shows that 75% of people are not getting enough of this critical mineral. Bodybuilders and athletes also generally need more magnesium due to depletion from excess sweating and urination as part of an intense regular training program.

When you do heavy weightlifting your daily electrolyte, vitamin and mineral demands increase sharply. Mitigating many of increased energy demands of bodybuilders, the benefits of supplementing with magnesium include helping to balance electrolytes, reducing muscle cramping, relaxing twitchy muscles or spasms, reducing muscle pain & soreness, improving sleep quality & duration, and supporting bone & joint health.

While single forms of magnesium are effective in part, research shows that some kinds of magnesium are better at producing specific benefits than others. For example, Aquamin® marine magnesium contains 72 trace minerals and has been shown to be effective at supporting bone health²⁰ and improving magnesium uptake. Magnesium malate has been clinically shown to help with cellular energy production.²¹ You will find both of these forms plus Magnesium bisglycinate, Magnesium aspartate, and Vitamin B6 in MUSCLE MAG.

Yes, MUSCLE mag uses plant-based vegetable capsules. No gelatin-based capsules are used in this product.
