Healthy Holiday Treats to Keep Your Gains on Track

Here are some healthy holiday treats to keep your gains on track, and they are easy to throw together. Sweet Plum Protein Treats

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups dried prunes
1 cups walnuts
1/2 cup dried apricots
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground fennel
1/2 tsp. ground cloves

Directions:

  1. Add the Mutant Whey, prunes, apricots, and spices to a food processor and pulse until the mixture clumps together (about 1 minute).
  2. Pour the walnuts onto a large cutting board and crush the walnuts into smaller pieces with a rolling pin.
  3. Scoop out a 2 tablespoon-sized piece of the mixture and roll it into a ball.
  4. Gently roll the piece into the crushed walnuts until it is covered in crushed walnuts.
  5. Repeat until the mixture is used up.
  6. Refrigerate any uneaten Sweet Plum Treats.

Dark Chocolate Chip and Cranberry Protein Cookies


Ingredients:

1 cup Mutant Whey - Vanilla Ice Cream Flavor
2 cups quick oats
1 cup peanut butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup lowered sugar dried cranberries (usually found as "50% less sugar")
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
Non-stick cooking spray

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Combine the Mutant Whey, oats, peanut butter, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and baking soda in a large bowl. Stir in the dried cranberries and chocolate chips after the other ingredients are well combined.
  3. Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  4. Roll the dough into 12 equal-sized balls and press each one flat on the cookie sheet, leaving at least an inch of space between each one.
  5. Bake for 12 minutes and enjoy after letting them cool.

  3. Spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray.
  4. Roll the dough into 14 balls and place each on the cookie sheet, leaving space between each one.
